Timmy is the first singer from the Chinese mainland to hold official concerts in both South Korea and Thailand. A popular singer with Asian youth, he has proved his strength beyond these fields - in movies, TV series, and charitable works. At the moment, he has over 5.27 million followers on China's biggest social media networks. He is constantly pursing different music styles and genres. I feel thrilled to collaborate with Superdry. I’m so excited to share my music with a new audience and feel that partnering with Supedry is the right fit. Superdry’s audience is so positive, young and energetic. There’s big potential for me to use the campaign for inspiration and create even more cool music in the future.

ANY UNEXPECTED INSPIRATIONS AND REFERENCES?
I'm kind of a 'freestyle' producer. I don't like to constrain myself, which offers me more freedom. Though I glean inspiration from everywhere, I like to keep to myself when producing music. A lot of the time inspiration comes to me when I'm in the bath.
YOU’VE GOT A HUGE AND DEDICATED FANBASE ON SOCIAL MEDIA – DO YOU LIKE THE FAME, AND WHAT’S ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST SURREAL GIFTS YOU’VE RECEIVED FROM FANS?
I feel really lucky and am so grateful to my fans. As conveyed in my song 'Cat,' my fans embrace me with support and love. I cherish every gift from my fans as they are all wrapped with my fans' best wishes. During a concert in Shanghai last year, I received a guitar made of preserved flowers. It was so creative and meaningful - I played it at one of my concerts and now it's kept in my studio.
YOU’RE COMING TO THE UK FOR THE SUPERDRYSOUNDS LAUNCH – WHAT DOES A TOURIST DAY IN LONDON LOOK LIKE FOR TIMMY XU?
I went to Camden Town with Superdry last year. It's the birthplace of punk and has so much street culture. There's so much music and interesting local boutiques there. This time, I'd like to spend a bit more time learning the local culture.

I do use my acting skills in my music videos; however, I express myself more in my music performances.
