Bomber jackets – they are the perfect transitional piece.  We love adding them to glam up a casual look or to give a night look a more casual edge.

Inspired by sportswear and the popular sports luxe trend we’ve witnessed in 2016, bombers are the ultimate casual jacket worn by celebs running errands and by influential fashion bloggers to high profile events. If you’ve been wondering how best to style up a bomber jacket of your own then here’s a quick how to guide – and if you don’t yet have one be sure to check out our range:

Oversized with rolled up sleeves

Currently trending in Japan, wearing one oversized garment adds an instant edge to your look. Our favourite it girls are donning jackets in dramatic lengths with extra-long plain t-shirts. Capture the trend by wearing your bomber jacket oversized and simply rolling the sleeves up. Or slip over a feminine, fitted dress and finish off with a pair of high top trainers. It’s the look for those of us that never grew out of our inner tomboy.

Winter Flite Jacket

Which bomber is best?

Our Winter Flite Jacket has a slightly masculine vibe, perfect for the oversized trend. The detachable fur collar adds some extra volume.

Grunge-y glam

Grunge is back, 90s kids. So mess your hair up ala Courtney love and embrace your grunge roots with a khaki bomber, worn open over your favourite band tee, ripped jeans and finished off with a thin, flannel shirt tied around your waist. Don’t forget the eyeliner.

RSD Lite Pilot Bomber Jacket

Which bomber is best?

The RSD Lite Pilot Bomber is a good choice when it comes to recreating this look. Turn it’s airforce styling on its head by playing into the rocker look.  The multiple zips and pockets included in the design add a little edge – plus what girl doesn’t want more pockets for all her essentials?

Going ‘out out’

Velvet has resurfaced this seaso, and we’re loving it.  A velvet bomber is the perfect addition to a sleek dress or black jeans and a top. The velvet adds a mix of textures to create an outfit that’s sure to turn heads.

Velvet Bomber Jacket

Which bomber is best?

We’re mad about this Velvet Bomber Jacket. Available in classic black or an ink blue – it’s great for draping over your favourite party dress and keeping you cosy when waiting for a taxi after a great night out. The additional small pocket on the arm is ideal for keeping travel cards or money close by and easily accessible – so it’s practical and pretty!

 Work it

Bomber jackets are perfect for making a casual statement in the workplace and for dashing around on the tube for client meetings. Pair yours with some slim trousers and a sleeveless blouse and finish off with a pair of killer heels.

Micro Quilt Bomber Jacket

 Which bomber is best?

You need something that’s going to look good in and out of the office. Our Micro Quilt Bomber Jacket works well as a blazer and as a piece of outerwear. The light colour works with your favourite pencil skirt and blouse combo and its relaxed fit means it can see you through to the weekend too.

Instagram worthy

For many of us, fashion bloggers are our main source of inspiration when it comes to styling up our wardrobe. A suede bomber is the perfect way of replicating the looks seen on Instagram. Pair this with a denim mini skirt and a striped Breton t-shirt for instant, blogger worthy style.

Suede Billie Bomber Jacket

Which bomber is best?

The Suede Billie Bomber Jacket is definitely Instaworthy. Great for being snapped in front of a rustic looking wall with a coffee in hand, this jacket style in tan is what every fashion icon should have in her wardrobe but opting for black means it can work with anything you decide to throw on that day.

Understated

Nothing beats a classic jeans and t-shirt combo for casual weekend style.  With a cute bomber jacket slipped on over the top, you’ll nail that laidback look. If you don’t fancy something heavy, opt for a bomber jacket featuring lace or mesh sleeves and a lightweight material for the body, then wear it like a cardigan over your favourite pair of blue skinnies and a comfy t-shirt. Finish off with your favourite heeled ankle boots.

Analee Lacy Bomber Jacket

Which bomber is best?

Our Analee Lacy Bomber works great for this look, the lace sleeves and delicate detail make this an attractive lightweight jacket that can be worn most days. It’s not as fitted as your regular bomber, with no ribbed cuffs or a collar, so it works great as a jacket to wear indoors or to add a layer in warmer months.

Feeling inspired? Take a look at our jacket range and recreate some of these looks yourself.
