AW19 Sport – Introducing Mia Kang

6th October 2019

This autumn get active your way with the cast of our AW19 campaign. Meet Mia Kang– a model and Muay Thai fighter who is promotes diversity and body positivity.

The lowdown:

Born and raised in Hong Kong and of half South Korean and half British descent, Mia Kang knows how to mix up the status quo. From swimsuit model to mixed martial artist Mia has brought a fresh perspective to both the fashion and Muay Thai industry. After struggling for years with eating disorders and addiction, Mia went to Thailand to recuperate for a 10 day vacation, this turned into 9 months in a Muay Thai camp in Thailand living a life led by martial arts.

How Muay Thai has changed her:

‘I got physically strong, which made me mentally strong, which transpired into every other aspect of my life’.

Her attitude:

‘I’m all about moderation – work hard, play hard, do it all, be happy, be healthy, laugh and smile all the time’.

Words she lives by:

’Train hard, fight easy and that’s something I not only go by in Muay Thai, I go by in life.’

Mia’s Training Style

When it comes to women’s workout clothes, Mia states, ‘I think it’s more about the feeling and confidence that clothes give you.’ Step in super stretchy gym clothes for women with performance compression designed to shape, support and sculpt in key areas on the body.

Core Cross Bra and 7/8 Leggings

When Mia puts on her sports bra she describes it as like ‘I’m putting on a shield of armour, like I walk a little bit taller with it on’ so a matching set with a cross over elastic band and extra stretch is made to exude confidence and allow dynamic movement.’

Flash Sport City Legging and Core Sport Graphic Vest

Bold, bright and colour-blocked, these women’s gym leggings reflect Mia’s individual style in standout shades of black, white, coral and rose gold especially when paired with a graphic slogan vest.

Sport Pusher Crew

New York gets cold, so after a high intensity training session this super soft crew is the perfect throw on.
