Start spreading the news, Superdry’s here to stay. We want to be a part of it, New York, New York!!
When news got out that we were about to unveil a two story, 14,000-square-foot store in New York City’s iconic Times Square, Superdry fans from across the five boroughs came out in force and began an overnight queue to be amongst the first to step foot into our 49th and 7th avenue store – and who could blame them!
We had loads of exciting opening day offers, such as free leather jackets for the first 100 customers and even the chance to win a shopping spree worth $5,000!
Whilst our orange bagged street team and queue of Superdry clad fans decorated the outside of the store, we went all out with the interior of the store with some unique design innovations – an industrial bomb light chandelier made from British factory lights salvaged from the 1940’s and bespoke cubby-style denim cabinetry all filled with our premium range of clothing!
Now one of the world’s most famous landmarks is home to one of the world’s most famous brands – and we’re thrilled to be here!

Meet The Class of Superdry University 2012!
Last October, Superdry USA embarked on their most ambitious Facebook campaign to date – a grassroots campaign to engage the most stylish, social-network savvy University students across America to join the Superdry University!
Now, after 3 months of applications and over 30,000 votes, we’re proud to announce the SDU ambassadors for the Superdry University Class of 2012 have been chosen! The “26 stand-out students now have the chance to become figureheads for a global brand,” explains Michael Martens, President of Superdry USA

It’s been a whole year since the last Sundance film festival and Superdry took a trip to Utah for the second year running to be amongst the Hollywood hipsters!
Celebrities were out in force supporting Superdry! 90210 actress, AnnaLynne McCord was seen out and about with her beau, Dominic Purcell, wrapped up in our Regiment Coat and teaming it with coloured accessories.
Cisco Adler and wife, Barbara Adler, were stocking up on our winter jackets and knits. Also seen out and about on the streets of Park City was actor Zach Booth wearing our hooded windcheater along with our fun and quirky stripe scarf-in-scarf.
Good friends of Superdry, actress Jamie Chung looked super cute in our popular Patrol Jacket and hip-hop mogul Lil Jon kept it practical in a camo windcheater during interviews.
Along with Google music, we hosted a small gathering for director Spike Lee’s new film ‘Red Hook Summer’ which features…you’ve guessed it, Superdry! A special preview was premiered to some fans including Common, James Marsden and Cuba Gooding Jnr. We had a superb night and can’t wait for next year already!

New York’s Superdry USA team ended the year with a smash! Stylists and managers from 718 Broadway, South Street Seaport, Woodbury Commons and Garden State Plaza stores along with warehouse and corporate employees congregated at the Superdry NY Broadway Flagship store to celebrate their hard work and success in 2011.
The SDUSA corporate team threw the party, as honorary guests, President Michael Martens and Vice President Jacob Turlinski, spread the holiday cheer with a raffle of cash prizes, shopping spree giveaways and a leather jacket to boot. The night went off without a hitch as all guests celebrated on their home turf, bringing in the year 2012!

Last month the Superdry USA Facebook page ran a competition, where two lucky winners won a $400 shopping spree! We met up with the second of our winners, Benedict, this time at our San Francisco store where he was greeted by one of our top stylists. Staff were already familiar with our winner from his previous visits, so already knowing he loved the Tin Tab tees, that was one of the first items the stylist selected for him! All the popular pieces from our new line including denims, hoodies, tees and leathers were selected for the lucky winner.
Benedict left with a great new wardrobe which included a hobo hood, a pair of Navigator denims, a Crashed Biker leather jacket and two tees! Congratulations Benedict, we look forward to seeing you again!

If you didn’t already know, we have a Superdry USA Facebook page where we held a competition for one lucky fan to win a $400 shopping spree! The winner was Rose who came to visit our New York store at 718 Broadway with a group that included her best friends and sister – all equally excited to help her choose her outfits!
With the help of Christina – one of our top stylists at the store, Rose tried on her selection of clothing, with some extra advice coming from her companions! From dresses and jeans accessorised with scarves and belts, Christina made sure Rose had the full taste of what Superdry has to offer! Hot on the music scene, producer Benny Blanco was styled at our South Street Seaport store in NYC. An American songwriter and producer from Reston, Virginia, Benny moved to New York aged 17 and has since co-produced and written songs for chart-topping artists; Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Ke$ha. Benny browsed through our Fall collection and was immediately trying on a selection of our Lumberjacks and Hobo hoods citing the great vintage hand feel. Leaving the store with an assortment of Rodeo denim shirts and Lumberjacks in numerous colors, Benny walked out prepared for the changing seasons with picks from our new collection. Currently, Benny is working with Neon Hitch on her debut album, due for release later this year!

The renowned reggaeton artist, Tego Calderon visited the newest New York City addition to the Superdry brand, our store at South Street Seaport. He was once named, “the most forward-looking performer” by the New York Times. In addition to being an award winning rap artist, Tego Calderon had also starred in hit films such as ‘Illegal Tender’ and the last two installments of the box office hit, ‘The Fast and the Furious’.
Tego loved the brand and the new shop. He took time out to joke and chat with staff while he shopped. He came across as, “humble and down to earth,” as said by one of the employees who helped him on his visit. This all goes to show that Superdry is a brand that surpasses not only borders, but genres!

We simply couldn’t open a new store in New York City without causing a bit of fuss! Last week our South Street Seaport store celebrated with an official launch party! We had Whitney Port, from U.S reality series,The Hills, Jessica Szohr, actress from hit TV series, Gossip Girl and the actress/model, Alina Puscau as special guests.
Jessica was full of enthusiasm as she styled 4 mannequins before the event kicked off with her favourite pieces from the collection. Putting a stamp of her own unique style onto the Superdry outfits, Jessica picked looks consisting of layers in neutral colours, with an additional splash of bold colouring for full impact.
While chatting to the girls in-store, Jessica told us how she is a massive fan of the Moody Bomber jacket, an item she couldn’t wait to wear over cute, girly dresses. The Biker Boots caught Whitney’s eye which she also thought were great with the light coloured summer dress she wore on the night, a piece which rocks any outfit! Both girls loved our lumberjack twill shirts, with Whitney preferring the men’s style for an oversized fit, teamed with shorts and leggings.
Other guests enjoyed the music from DJ Chrissie Miller while they browsed our entire collection. For any shoppers coming to visit the South Street Seaport store, Jessica said she will certainly be stopping by when she is in the area, so keep your eyes peeled!

Jamie Chung, star of the Hangover 2 came to pick up a few Superdry pieces at our Los Angeles store! Jamie favoured our feminine summer offerings, after having a browse through our collections and sharing her styling tips on how to wear Superdry for any occasion. Picking out the Orange Sewn Maxi Dress and Samantha Vintage Thrift dress, our Angelina leather jacket also caught her attention! Great looks for an always well dressed star!
