2015 is a year of rugby, and on January 8th we revealed our latest collection #SuperdryRugby, designed with the player in mind. To make sure it was up to scratch off the pitch we asked winger Jonny May (Gloucester and England) plus fly half James Hook (Gloucester) to don some of the new shirts.

With a calendar filled with Rugby dates we realised it’s not just the players that need a kit fit for purpose, every supporter needs something that will stand up to the test. Inspired by old school rugby strips the collection is a looser fit, with vintage badge patches and statement collars.

The collection will be launched at the beginning of February, just in time for round 2 of the Six Nations consisting of three styles; herculean, training ground and valiant, to be the first to know when it’s available click here to register your interest.

More details on each style to come…

What a year! 2014 has been incredible!

We kicked off the year as we meant to go on. A star-studded show at the Old Sorting Office for London Collections: Men, where we showcased our winter 2014 collection set the year on a roll. This was shortly followed by the opening of our Premium lounge in our Regent Street store, introducing personal shopping for the first time!

Things didn’t slow down. In March we announced that we would be heading to the Austrian alps for Snowbombing, to host the notorious arctic disco. Partying with Rudimental, Carl Cox, Skream and many more, it was the perfect place to launch our new winter 2014 collection #SuperdrySnow.

Our festival fever hit a high when we jetted off to Coachella to celebrate Poppy Delevingne’s hen do, with sister Cara and friends including Sienna Miller joining us for a weekend of music and Superdry.

In the midst of all that globetrotting we announced that we would be kicking off London Collections: Men for a second time with the British Fashion Council. Launching our summer 2015 collection to the press and to our fans, the night didn’t end at the catwalk. Infamous DJ Mark Ronson took to the decks to finish the night with a bang.

September saw us celebrate fashion with Vogue’s Fashion Night Out, offering personalisation on our leather jackets, a style talk from Lilah Parsons and an evening filled with music from the Fireflies. And the global domination continued with stores opening in Dubai, Malaysia and our first flagship store in Munich, Germany!

October was dubbed outerwear month as we introduced our biggest and most diverse collection to date, for men and women. November was huge – as the long awaited #SuperdrySnow collection, our first technical ski range for men and women, went into stores and online. So well-loved, it was already appearing in shoots with Vogue, GQ, Shortlist and many more! But it didn’t end there, we also extended our collaboration with Saville Row alumni Timothy Everest, with sequin infused styles for women and tie-lined jackets for men.

It has been a year of celebrity with stars such as Idris Elba, Naomi Watts, Nicole Scherzinger, David Tennant, Mark Ronson and many more all sporting their favourite Superdry pieces!

2015 is set to be just as big. In January, for the third time, we are holding the official launch of London Collections: Men, opening stores from Singapore to Hawaii and of course introducing new collections, all to be announced shortly!

Thanks for a great 2014, here’s to 2015!

Kelly has been studying BSc Fashion Buying & Merchandising at Manchester Metropolitan University & joined Merchandising a couple of months ago. We grabbed a few minutes with her during her induction…

Why do you love Superdry?

Superdry is so vibrant & exciting with a really fast pace & amazing growth. It creates great unique products, unlike others on the high street & the styles are constantly being tweaked to reflect the growth of the brand. What’s not to love?

What is your favourite item of Superdry clothing?

The Sherpa victory biker jacket, it’s Gorgeous! The fleece lining & detail on the collar make it super warm & stylish, not to mention practical! The cropped design gives the biker jacket a modern twist so it will go with any outfit day or night. I love mine…

What is your inspiration in life?

I’m inspired by experiences & opportunities that happen in my life & believe in making the most of everything & turning any negative into a positive…

What do you do outside of work?

I enjoy traveling whether in the UK or abroad & am really interested in other cultures. I also like to socialise & keep up with the latest trends either through magazines, online or through blogs

Most looking forward to when working with us…

I can’t wait to be a part of the Superdry team & meeting new people. I aim to develop my skills & learn from every day I’m there. Alex has been studying BA (HONS) Fashion Design and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University. We had a quick catch up with Alex & asked her a few questions…

Why do you love Superdry?

I love Superdry because the clothes have subtle detailing which makes each item unique in its own way. There are also different levels of design like Superdry Premium & Orange Label, which match different consumer markets…I like how this offers more & more choice to customers…plus I used to work in a Superdry store!

What is your favourite item of Superdry clothing?

Easy! It’s an Orange Label zip hood as they are super comfy, easy to add a pop of colour to an outfit & gorgeous to wear.

What is your inspiration in life?

My inspiration is the architecture & manipulation on designs that contour the shape of the body through clothing. I love what you can do with clothes! What also inspires me is watching a small brand developing into a worldwide known brand, loved by all. This drives me to pursue what I want to do in life & I hope I can do that at Superdry

What do you do outside of work?

Outside of work I see my friends a lot, go to the gym & walk my dog. I am a huge lover of Vogue & Elle magazine so I could spend days reading them…I’ve spent 10 years collecting them!

Most looking forward to when working with us…?

I’m really looking forward to sharing my skills & ideas with the team that makes Superdry designs so perfect when they hit the shops. I’m so happy to be working for such an exciting company!

We’re packing our bags for one of the biggest parties of the year in the Californian desert. That’s right, we’re off to Coachella! Famous for its celebrity style, A-list hang-outs and the latest, greatest bands & DJs in the world, this is one festival you don’t want to miss.

If dressing for summer’s hottest parties leaves you cold, our SS14 collection is an access-all-areas pass to standout festival style. Denim is a festival staple, from hotpants to double denim combos; luckily the Superdry Denim collection is bigger and better than ever. Boys shorts get colourful or stay classic in our commodity chino shorts range, which look great teamed with a hoodie or our classic flag jacket. Party-loving girls should rock carefree boho style with our raw edge hotpants & easy summer dresses. Add some tailoring to redefine casual cool; check out our Timothy Everest collection for inspiration.

Use accessories to punch up your look: our alumni bag comes in a kaleidoscope of shades (perfect for carrying your Superdry beach towel, passport holder, hat & wallet!). Get a pop of colour with one of our great watches &, remember, late night parties and sun-soaked days mean sunglasses should be at the top of your packing list. Footwear gets practical: choose from trainers, chic sandals for girls and flip flops to team with every outfit.

When it comes to cool Coachella styling, we’ve got everything under the sun! Got a festival style dilemma? Drop us a question on Twitter using #SuperdryFestivalStyle

The latest issue of Miss Vogue features some great pieces from our SS14 collection. The article highlights the best looks for this summer’s biggest parties.

Miss Vogue picks up on the cool and carefree vibe of the collection, which clashes lace and leather, skinny denim, classic Breton stripes and boho tie-dye. Festival favourites to get a Miss Vogue shout out include the tie dye escape crew; commodity chino shorts; cheerleader tee; surf skirt; ticket stripe crop tee and the raw edge hotpant. Fusing feminine cool and rock chic, the mini victory-biker and the hyper lace t-shirt could well be the headline acts of the summer.

For bright pops of colour see our distressed neon-perf belt, the scuba watch and the zip thru cagoule with metallic flashes, which all ensure your friends won’t lose you in the crowds.

You’ve bought your tickets, you’ve practiced putting up your tent… all you need to do now is to plan your wardrobe. We’ll leave the final piece of advice to Miss Vogue: ‘Let Superdry help you get into the summer spirit.’
