This season we’re launching #SuperdryRugby, a collection of casuals designed with rugby supporters and players in mind. We have three distinct styles including this, the Herculean, as seen on winger Jonny May, Gloucester Rugby and England Rugby. This style comes in three block colours, each are complemented by rich details that pay homage to vintage rugby shirts; from embroidered flag wool under-collars, applique numbers & chest badge to quilted label inner as well as leather labels and branded buttons.

The Training Ground strip takes old school rugby to a whole new level, shown here worn by talented Gloucester Rugby fly half, James Hook it is available in six different colours; the stripe detail, jersey fabric and shield chest badges inspire an authentic vintage rugby feel.

Then we come onto Valiant a range of five shirts designed with the 1970’s and 80’s national rugby kits in mind, each shirt has an incredibly dry hand-feel while the back boasts oversized printed numbering. Every shirt comes with a printed flag under-collar (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales & Italy) complementing the colour of the strip.

The whole collection has a new more relaxed fit and will be available from mid February. If you want to register your interest, click here.

Mens style site, TheChicGeek.co.uk, founded in 2009 has rapidly become one of the biggest and most respected in the UK, last night Marcus Jaye, the man behind the blog, joined us as we kicked off London Collections: Men with The British Fashion Council. Find out what he thought of our Autumn Winter 2015 collection and Alpine Lodge inspired presentation in our Regent Street flagship store…

“On the eve of London Collections: Men, a.k.a. London men’s fashion week, Superdry, in association with the British Fashion Council, unveiled their latest Autumn/Winter 15 collection in an exclusive event above their flagship store on Regent Street.

Transforming the space into a cosy timbered Alpine lodge with the obligatory moose head above the fireplace and antler chandelier, an imaginary crisp mountain air gave London a refreshing blast of Superdry ski and après-ski style.

Sitting on fur throws, the 18 models, dressed in the latest must-have pieces from Superdry, offered everything you’d need in terms of cold weather style.

New additions to the ‘Superdry Snow’ capsule range were previewed, pushing Superdry’s mountain-sports offering to new heights with many items designed to work on and off the piste.

From duffle coats with technical toggles and quilted linings to army-green flight jackets with faux-fur hoods, the new A/W15 collection didn’t disappoint on its technical and aesthetic details.

Inspired by such iconic menswear themes as the ‘Gentleman Explorer’, ‘Classic Military’ and ‘Gym-Class Hero’, the new collection cleverly combined youth and sport with a refined style and finish.

Accessories included thick-knit marled beanies and matching gloves, Nordic printed scarves, ski goggles and canvas rucksacks. The Union Jack ran throughout, reflecting Superdry’s British roots, and other details, such as enameled buttons and monogrammed denim, showed the subtle attention paid to each piece.

The appreciative audience, which included England Rugby Captain, Chris Robshaw, model, Oliver Cheshire, and presenters Lilah Parsons and Pips Taylor, left coveting the Superdry chalet chic look long before the first snowflakes start to fall next winter.”

Thanks for joining us to kick off London Collections: Men last night

Saturday night saw us showcase our upcoming Spring/Summer 15 collection at London Collections: Men.

LC:M features the best of British fashion talent, with a mixture of both emerging stars & heavy weight heritage brands. We were thrilled to be part of such a huge event for the third time.

For men, our Spring/Summer 15 collection features beach-to-bar hand-drawn Hawaiian prints, preppy pastels & Italiana led style, with denim shorts & signature graphic print t-shirts forming the perfect capsule wardrobes.

Our womenswear features loose layering, with cropped t-shirts in eye catching tie-dye & floral prints to unleash your inner boho style, as well as sequin-adorned tees & exciting new denim styles with embellished pockets.

Over 500 special guests joined us at London’s Ewer Street Arches to preview the collection. Sipping on basil cooler cocktails from our bespoke bar & eating premium pizzas & lobster rolls from a vintage airstream caravan; guests were then invited through to the catwalk space ahead of the show.

Celebrity guests included DJ Mark Ronson, who later took to the decks to kick off the after party, Hollywood star Jesse Metcalfe, MTV presenter Lilah Parsons, Model & British Fashion Council Ambassador David Gandy & social media sensations, Tanya Burr & Jim Chapman, among others.

The show went down a storm, with guests agreeing SS15 is our most progressive collection to date. Afterwards it was time to show our guests what we do second best & the after-party began.

Mark Ronson hit the decks as we danced the night away. Not forgetting our British heritage, we showed the England vs Italy first found World Cup game to partygoers, while they enjoyed Asahi beer.

A couple of weeks ago we invited Superdry fan Katie Morgason to join us at Superdry HQ for the day to see what it’s like to work behind the scenes of a global fashion brand. Katie shared some of her amazing photos with us from a recent photoshoot and when we invited her to join us at our head office in Cheltenham, she jumped at the chance!

Here’s what she had to say about her day at SDHQ-

“I absolutely loved my day at Superdry! I got to meet so many fun people and see some really cool things behind the scenes! It was so interesting to see how such a massive brand that i’ve admired for so long operates. Seeing all the creative operations and all the processes for the brand was awesome.

“One of my favourite parts of the day was being in the studio and seeing how the photos are taken and processed. I couldn’t believe how many photos were taken for one product. Walking on the new Superdry catwalk was fun too! Watching the photo shoot and interview with Jacob Banks was pretty awesome and i can’t forget the amazing showroom with the beautiful items from the SS14 collection! (i can’t wait to get my hands on that!) While i was at SDHQ i got to shoot for superdry.com and that was such a great experience! It was scary because i wanted to make sure i was getting it right but once i took a couple of photos the scariness wore off and i really enjoyed it! It was an amazing feeling to know that i was talking a photo that would be published on their website! Ania, the model, was awesome so she made it really easy and all the staff around were really encouraging.”

Talking about Superdry’s social media profiles and what tempted her to post on our Facebook wall, Katie told us

“I really like Superdry’s social media profiles because they have a great mix of text and product! I decided to upload my photo onto the Facebook wall as a bit of a long shot. Years ago my fiance and i took a picture with us wearing our leather Superdry boots at Christmas and got some really positive feedback from it. For the photo i posted, i really loved it and thought it really suited the brand. Turns out you guys liked it too!”

As a fashion student, the opportunity for Katie to work with Superdry’s photographers and creatives – to be on the inside looking out – was a big pull:

“I learned a lot from my visit to Superdry. It was really good to see how my the theory of my fashion photography course translated into a ‘real life’ situation. I think the most vital thing i learned while i was there is that working with a really good creative team can make a world of difference. You could tell by all the people involved in the process from producing images, clothing and to social media that the brand produces strong, interesting, dynamic work. My visit to Superdry has really helped my understanding of how a global brand is run.”

We’re glad you had a great day with us Katie. Keep in touch!

2013 is a landmark year in our calendar as we celebrate Superdry’s ten-year anniversary. In true Superdry fashion we decked out London’s famous landmark Battersea Power Station. Steeped in British history this incredible building provided the perfect backdrop to create an event never to be forgotten. Born from an inspirational trip to Tokyo back in 2003 the brand started from a collection of 5 high-impact graphic tees and in the past 10 years we have grown considerably with collections of up to 2,500 pieces.

The event was held in the awe-inspiring grade 2 listed building, where we treated special guests to an exclusive SS14 catwalk while cool up and coming Brit duo Coves performed a rocking soundtrack. Later the DJ spinned an eclectic mix of tunes which really got the party started. While guests sipped on tasty cocktails including Dark ‘n’ stormy, Apricot Mai Tai and Victorian Tea, alongside champagne and beer. Peckish party-goers were served a selection of festival-style nibbles with a choice of Motherclucker, Engine Hot Dogs and When Mac met Cheese.

Check out more pics from the event on our  Facebook page and read what guests had to say on Twitter by following the hashtag #Superdry10.

Our standout attraction, and something that put a smile on the faces of the writers from of Vogue, Grazia, Company Magazine, Elle & GQ to name a few, was our Exclusive Social Media Mirror!

Our guests were given the chance to take their photo on the huge interactive, touch screen mirror and share in real time to their social media pages!

Following the successful launch of the tailored collection for men, the evening saw the unveiling of the new Superdry + Timothy Everest Womens Sebiro Collection to a very packed audience. At 6pm sharp the curtains opened to the new pieces from the exclusive collection. The Town Coat, The Country Rebel, The Rock Rebel and The Muse, designed specifically for the modern women.
