Aalst is a city famous for it’s vibrant textile industry and more famously, for its carnival! With the same enthusiasm as Brazilians during the Rio Carnival, the Alostois spend the year planning their celebrations and working on the best ideas for costumes!

Ville drapière et de textile, Alost est non moins célèbre pour son carnaval. Aussi passionnés que les Brésiliens, les Alostois s’y préparent toute l’année, rivalisant de créativité dans leurs costumes. Superdry s’installe donc en pays de connaisseurs et ouvre un Superdry store de 105 M2 au numéro 80 de la Kattestraat. Avec une collection Printemps/Eté 2011 qui par son originalité, ses couleurs et sa pétulance va prolonger la fête à Alost.

Textielstad Aalst staat vooral bekend voor z’n geweldig carnaval, dat weet iedereen. Als het aankomt op het ineensteken van een spectaculaire carnavalsstoet of het bedenken van knotsgekke outfits zijn de Aalstenaars mogelijk nog creatiever en zotter dan de Brazilianen. En dat hun bijnaam ‘de Ajuinen’ is, vinden ze eerder een compliment dan wat anders…
