Thursday 11th April 2013 was a big day in the Superdry calendar. not only were we previewing our AW13 collection to the most established Fashion writers, journalists and bloggers in the uk, but we were also getting to launch something big…

And by big we mean The Superdry + Timothy Everest womens sebiro collection!

The biggest names in fashion spent the day in the showroom of  our flagship store on London’s famous Regent Street,  checking out the collection that will be released later in the year.

Our AW13 collection features well-loved and classic Superdry pieces as well as a new grown-up collection of female tailoring that oozes modern, feminine glamour.

Womens denim has had a major overhaul with new wash techniques for jeans, complete with a vibrant palette of animal prints, dip dyes and unique shades of raspberry and winter green, whilst our menswear takes inspiration from the past with a heavy dose of the new. Think retro fairisle knits in crew and roll neck styles, updated with pops of neon yarn and navajo details.

Our standout attraction, and something that put a smile on the faces of the writers from of Vogue, Grazia, Company Magazine, Elle & GQ to name a few, was our Exclusive Social Media Mirror!

Our guests were given the chance to take their photo on the huge interactive, touch screen mirror and share in real time to their social media pages!

Following the successful launch of the tailored collection for men, the evening saw the unveiling of the new Superdry + Timothy Everest Womens Sebiro Collection to a very packed audience. At 6pm sharp the curtains opened to the new pieces from the exclusive collection. The Town Coat, The Country Rebel, The Rock Rebel and The Muse, designed specifically for the modern women. From ‘Rock Chic’ to ‘Country Rebel, it is a trans-seasonal collection of core tailored staples, which echo unequalled atention to detail, super cuts and the finest quality cloths around.

Whether it’s the Ramona or the Megan, our range of women’s leather jackets have always been a classic wardrobe staple.

So you can imagine how excited we were to hear there’s not one, but two new Superdy leather jackets joining the fold.

Please, ladies, give a warm welcome to The Blake Bomber and Skinny Biker.

*RAUCOUS APPLAUSE*

Available in 7 new and exciting colours, they feature a buttersoft finish with single collar,  a move away from the oh, so familiar double collar we’ve been famous for in the past, a contrast lining, zip front fastening and two patch pockets.

But what’s the difference, you may ask?

Well, let us tell you!

The Skinny biker has zip cuffs and straight waist, where the Blake bomber has an elasticated hem and cuffs.

So the question is, what colour and style is for you? Let us know over on Facebook and Twitter.

Summer. So near yet so far.

The clocks have changed, the weather’s (hopefully) going to get warmer and that devil has appeared on your shoulder again that screams “go on, crack out the shorts, flip flops and a pair of sunnies. It’s warm enough; honest!”

This season, we really have pulled out all the stops with our latest (and greatest) range of Superdry sunglasses.

From retro-inspired designs to vivid fluro and soft pastels, there is something for everyone.

So don’t wait for our only day of summer to come and go; complete your summer wardrobe with Superdry.

With the ‘great’ british weather going the way it is, we’re not feeling too hopeful that the sun will make a proper appearance anytime soon…

So, with that in mind, we’re showing some love for  the new coats and jackets that have recently dropped both in store and online at Superdry.com.

From our much-loved hero piece, the Superdry windcheater,  to the bold new, nautical-inspired  boat jacket, we’ve got you well and truly covered come rain or shine. (let’s face it, it’s most probably rain!)

Top of our list this spring (yes, it really is officially Spring) is the cropped hooded raincoat. Available in two colourways - we prefer the white, but it’s only for the brave – and features a double breast with removable hood, double layer collar, embroidered shoulder logo and 2 front pockets.

Wear it dressed up or throw it on over your jeans and a tee. It really is that versatile.

Let us know what you think of it over on Facebook or Twitter.

If you’re an avid fan of our Social Media pages, you’ve probably seen that one of the most popular questions we’re asked on Facebook and Twitter is:

“what products are we loving from the current collection.”

Previously we’ve shouted about our graphic tees, waxed lyrical about our joggers, and make a whole lot of noise about our knitwear, but we’ve recently spotted something that has slipped through our net – the retro gilet.

In colourways that wouldn’t look out of place on the slopes in the 80s (the cool 80s, not the garish 80s!) the Retro Gilet is available for both men and women and is the perfect piece of outerwear to use when layering up.

But what do you think? Let us know which one you like the most over on Twitter and Facebook.

Yesterday marked the grand opening of our ‘Flagship Store of the North‘ right in the heart of the brand new shopping destination, Trinity Leeds.

Leaving in the dark at 5.30am, (until yesterday we didn’t know that time even existed!) we packed the photography equipment and hit the road to join the huge crowds of people waiting to enter the shopping centre at 10am, and we were almost swept off our feet in the excitement of happy shoppers!

The Superdry store, which can be found on the Lower ground floor via the Albion Street entrance, is a whopping 16,000 square feet and our biggest store outside of london. with those figures you can see how it’s been dubbed our flagship of the North!

It features our brand new SS13 collection, summer-ready accessories including hats, sunglasses and flip-flops and all the classic Superdry pieces that you all know and love.

Decked out in a similar aesthetic to Superdry International, our global flagship store on London’s famous Regent Street, you’ll find a huge TV screened video wall, sleeper-mounted railway carriages and custom built changing rooms.

Were you at the grand opening? Did you pick up an exclusive Superdry ‘Tee in a tin?”

It was an early (but exciting) rise for us on Sunday morning as we got the first train to Bristol to set up our beauty showcase at Cabot Circus’ 48 Hour Fashion Fix.

We didn’t know what to expect, but were thrilled to be greeted by a gigantic red double-decker bus parked right in the heart of Quaker’s Friars! We hopped onboard and set up our eye-catching collection of Superdry Beauty products, with the help of Sarah and Rachael from both Cabot Circus and Cheltenham Superdry stores.

Not long after the doors officially opened, we were joined by many a happy (but cold!) shopper, all of which were eager to discover the collection and read the brand new Superdry newspaper!

Whilst on the bus, we spoke to shoppers to see what they thought of our new beauty range, and this season’s trends. We received some great feedback on our pink and black kabuki brushes, beauty bags, mascara, and blushes to name a few!

Back to the hustle and bustle of Cabot Circus, our Shore sweater crew in lime green, and our monochrome summer dress and lofter shirt were on display at the “wheel of fashion!”

Shoppers from all over were treated to a preview of this summer’s trends whilst they waited to spin the wheel to win prizes.

Fast-forward to 3pm and we found ourselves outside our glass-fronted Superdry store to watch a group of dancers do their thing whilst kitted out in the new-in collection. They put on such a great show and popped in the store after they had finished for a look at what else we had to offer.

Check out some of the pictures on our Facebook page and see what we had to say on Twitter throughout the event.

Sports luxe is a key trend this season and you needn’t look any further than Superdry to find the pieces you’ll need to have your fashion foot forward this summer.

Our staple piece for women, the Jofi boot, can be dressed up with our scoop back maxi or down with some joggers for that all-important sport-chic look. Add a pair of super series and an orange label hood over a basic body con dress for a casual daytime look. Accessorise your outfit with one of our brightly coloured scuba watches and brighton tote bag for the finishing touch.

The sports-luxe trend isn’t just for us girls. Your man can also achieve the look by pairing joggers with a simple heritage grandad top.

The men’s hero piece, the pop colour zip hood, can be paired with almost anything, so get him to throw on a zip through cagoule over his outfit and he’ll be ready to go.

For the ideal finishing touch, we ‘re loving the montana rucksack (for gym(!) wear), super series lo top and compound sport watch.

If you haven’t already seen over on our Facebook page, we’ve been asking for your beauty questions to put forward to our in-house Make-up artist, Natasha.

We managed to grab 5 minutes with Natasha, and ask her your beauty woes…

here’s what she had to say!

“What key pieces would you recommend from the Superdry beauty collection?”

Natasha: Personally, I  love the highlighter and blushers. But the chunky eye marker is my favourite. It looks like a felt tip pen but goes on like a liquid liner –  fab!

“I’m looking for something perfect for a saturday night in town – what would you recommend?”

Natasha: The eyeshadow duo in blackboard/fog teamed with our kohl pencil and mascara look great together. These are perfect for creating a smoky eye look ideal for the weekend!

“I have blonde hair and pale skin, what lip glaze colour would best suit me?”

Natasha: The good thing about the lip glaze is they are transparent and give a lovely glossy finish. But try the Rose Pink for a subtle hint of colour in the daytime.

“What are your key Superdry Beauty pieces that you use when preparing a model for a photoshoot?”

Natasha: I use all of it! But my key item is the blusher in burnt coral. I also love to use the lip paint in Electric pink for a pop of colour!

“I’m looking for an everyday look. What would you use for that?”

Natasha: Try the highlighter on your cheekbones for a dewy finish. Pair with our rapture pink blusher, mascara and finish off with the sweet peach lip glaze!

“Would i use your lip fix like lip balm?”

Natasha: Yes, lipFix is great for sorting out chapped lips – it leaves the lips soft and moisturised.

“What are your top 3 tips of make-up?”

1. Apply a little lip fix when you start your make-up then go on to do everything else. When you come back to do your lipstick you’ll find your lips nice and soft!

2. Add a bit of the highlighter down the centre of your nose and forehead to add a dewy finish to your skin. If you pop a bit on your cupids bow it will make your lips appear fuller, too!

3. If you don’t feel like wearing a full on red lip, try dabbing on our rebel red lip paint for a subtle look!

“How do i make my small eyes look bigger?”

Natasha: Oooh, good question! Stay away from dark colours. Try our powder rose eyeshadow, or if you really want your eyes to pop go for secura blue eye shadow shade. It’s such a big shade this season!

“Do you style your make-up around what you wear? How do i do this?”

Natasha: Most days yes, but i tend to go with what mood i am in! If i am feeling bright and playful i love to wear electric pink lip paint. If i don’t feel like wearing much make-up i put on a little eyeliner with lipglaze. I say it’s always best to go with how you feel that day!

“What was the first thing you wanted to play with when you saw the Superdry Beauty?”

Natasha: The eye marker – it looks like a felt tip pen.

“What is your favourite brand of make-up?”

Natasha: Superdry of course!

Thanks Natasha! If you have any questions, let us know over on Facebook or Twitter!
