The launch party was attended by friend-of-the-brand and Moto GP2 champion, Marc Marquez, who came to se what we had to offer and have a look around the new store. While he was in-store, Marc was even interviewed by the press about his recent Moto GP 2 win and his love of Superdry!

Much to Marc’s surprise we even presented him with his own personalized cake! Marc’s loyal fans traveled to see him while in Serrano and even queued outside to get a glimpse of the Superdry-sponsored rider. After his interviews, the fans poured into the store to have a look at the clothing and have their photos taken with their hero.

The evening is when the party really started as the mojitos and food were on tap!  A red carpet (we definitely think this should have been orange!) marked the paths of the street and the lights were focused on our branded photowall. Other Spanish celebs who know and love the brand were also seen around and about the store, including Caminero, Oscar Higares, Carmen Jordá, Llorenç Gonzalez, Marco Rocha, Marta Torné, Paula Prendes and Robert Ramírez.

The pop-rock group Atacados were in-store playing a fantasic set they had prepaired especially for us.

Superdry Spain celebró el pasado 15 de noviembre el lanzamiento oficial de la marca en España en Superdry Store Serrano (Madrid).
Por la mañana los principales medios de comunicación en moda asistieron al pressday que se organizó en Superdry Store Serrano. Los asistentes no sólo disfrutaron de la colección Otoño – invierno 2012 sino que además pudieron conocer en primicia las tendencias que Superdry presentará para la colección de primavera-verano 2013.
Por la tarde, vino el campeón del mundo de Moto2 Marc Márquez a hacer entrevistas a la tienda. Los principales medios generalistas y deportivos asistieron a la cita y entrevistaron al piloto en un ambiente relajado y ameno. Superdry quiso sorprender a Marc y felicitarle por su nuevo título con la entrega de un pastel personalizado con una foto suya.
Mientras, fuera se acumulaban fans de Marc los cuales pudieron entrar a firmar autógrafos y hacerse fotos con el campeón.
Por la noche se celebró el Superdry Launch Event – Mojitos y Hot dogs. Una alfombra roja vestía la calle Serrano y los focos alumbraban el photocall de la entrada, por el cual posaron celebrities como Caminero, Oscar Higares, Carmen Jordá, Llorenç Gonzalez, Marc Márquez, Marco Rocha, Marta Torné, Paula Prendes o Robert Ramírez. Dentro de la tienda les esperaba el grupo de Pop-Rock Atacados, listos para empezar a sonar. También había hot dogs para todos los que quisieran acompañar el mojito Ron Barceló & 28Black.
El ambiente era totalmente festivo y se respiraba entre los asistentes emoción por una noche que mejoraba por momentos. Al acabar el concierto el DJ se encargó de poner ritmo a la fiesta, mientras la gente hablaba y compartía momentos de moda, lifestyle y risas.

As you know, here in Valencia we never miss an opportunity to celebrate. So last week, in true Superdry style, we thew a huge party in one of the most well-known night spots in the city: Ani+ Puerto!

Situated smack bang on the seafront, it’s no wonder why this venue attracted more than 5000 Superdry fans that were all up for one thing….. an awesome night!

The Superdry Photowall went down a treat with our guests, and it seemed everyone was drying to get their hands on our tee-in-a-tin tins in our competition!

The party went on into the small hours and everyone had a great night – we can’t wait for the next one!

En Valencia no nos perdemos una y es que el pasado 21 de septiembre Superdry celebró una fiesta en uno de los locales de referencia de la ciudad: Ani+ Puerto. Situado en el Paseo Marítimo y con unas vistas espectaculares la noche del viernes atrajo a más de 5000 personas, la mayoría de ellas universitarias quienes daban la bienvenida al curso esta misma noche.

Los universitarios, que no desperdician ninguna ocasión para pasarlo en grande, se divirtieron haciéndose fotos en el garage photocall con nuestras características Tins y globos Superdry.

Además los asistentes participaron en el sorteo de 10 camisetas Superdry.

Our autumn/winter 2012 collection had barely landed in stores before it attracted the attention of the gorgeous Alba Carrillo, who recently visited our Superdry Store with her personal stylist, Ana Antich.

Both enjoyed browsing through the latest items and selected different outfits for a presentation at Fosco, which included the JPN Flock Crop Crew tee, the Washbasket vintage dress, the Team Japan hoody and our amazing AW12 skinny denims.

We think they look perfect!

El pasado 11 de septiembre la guapísima modelo y It girl Alba Carrillo visitó nuestra tienda SD Store Serrano junto con la conocida estilista Ana Antic. Ambas conocieron de primera mano la colección que Superdry presenta para esta temporada y estuvieron probando los looks que Alba llevaría para la presentación de los zapatos y bolsos Fosco.

Las dos quedaron fascinadas por la calidad del algodón que caracteriza todas las prendas Superdry y eligieron los looks con los que la modelo se sentía más identificada.

Entre las prendas seleccionadas destacan: la camiseta la orange sewn, nuestro vestido negro washbasket, la Hoody Team Japan los pitillos Skinny Crop. Todos ellos constituían unos looks jóvenes y atractivos que sentaron de maravilla a Alba.

The young Singer, Xuso Jones joined us on the 27th June with a live accoustic set at the Superdry store in Valencia.

The event, which started at 7pm, had high expectations from Xuso’s fans, who arrived as early as 2pm to see the Singer. Some fans even traveling from as far as 400km to see their idol.

The gig was atended by over 200 people and the Young star started with Price Tag by Jessie J followed by Glad you came – The Wanted, Grenade – Bruno Mars, Hold my Hand -Michael Jackson, and I’m Yours by Jason Mraz. He then wowed fans with his own song buy the dj a round and surprised everyone with one of Nicki Minaj’s raps and closed with the classic Stand by Me. Of course, he didn’t miss out the hit that made him famous ¡McAuto song! Like a true star, Xuso played the songs his fans had requested throughout the gig.

When Xuso finished his set, he gave fans the chance to take a photo with him and have a signed picture. It was a great afternoon in Valencia with a star who has fast become a phenomenon with over 10 million hits on Youtube and over 40,000 followers on Twitter!

El cantante revelación Xuso Jones nos deleitó el pasado 27 de junio con un concierto acústico en Superdry Store Valencia.

El evento que estaba planeado para las 19h, despertó mucha expectativa desde la mañana. Y es que a las 14h todas sus fans comenzaron a hacer cola en la tienda para no perderse la entrada del artista. Incluso algunas, habían recorrido más de 400km para poder conocer a su ídolo de cerca.

El concierto, que empezó puntal, consiguió reunir más de 200 personas en la 1ª Superdry Store abierta Valencia. Xuso, empezó cantando Price tag de Jessie J, y después siguió con éxitos como Glad you came de The Wanted, Grenade de Bruno Mars, Hold my Hand de Michael Jackson, o I’m Yours de Jason Mraz. Siguió con su primer single Buy the DJ a round, y nos sorprendió con el complicadísimo rap de Nicki Minaj en la canción Super Bass, cerrando con el clásico Stand by Me. No faltó el éxito que le hizo famoso, ¡la canción del McAuto! Xuso, con su alegre simpatía y energía, continuó el concierto cantando las canciones que sus fans pedían.

Una vez acabado el show los asistentes pudieron hacerse una foto con Xuso y tener su autógrafo. Una tarde perfecta en Valencia con un chico que se ha convertido en un fenómeno de internet. Sin tener ningún lanzamiento oficial, ha conseguido unas cifras que quitan el hipo: más de 10 millones de plays en YouTube, cerca de 50 mil seguidores en Tuenti, más de 40 mil en Twitter…

This week, Superdry Spain got involved with Barcelona’s famous Brandery Fashion Fair to celebrate all things style and Superdry.

Attracting a mix of coolhunters, buyers, bloggers, creatives, journalists and industry professionals, 18 models put on a great show give barcelona its first glimpse of our AW12 collection, set to land in stores very soon.

And in celebration of Superdry-sponsored moto 2 rider Marc Marquez, the race was on! We had a replica of Marc’s motobike and 4 MOTO GP simulators for our fans to enjoy! Winners of the races were able to celebrate their glory with a pic on the podium in front of our branded photo wall.

It’s not hard to see why our stand was loved by all who attended. We even had a few famous faces drop by, including actor Santi Millán.

There was yet another podium finish for Superdry-sponsored moto 2 rider, Marc Marquez last week, despite a crash between himself and fellow racer, Pol Espargaró!

Marc finished 3rd at the Catalunya Grand Prix in a race that was as competitive as it was fast. And with just twelve races left, Marc is a mere two points behind the no.1 racer, Thomas Lüthi!

The next race takes place on the UK’s famous Silverstone racetrack and, as always, Superdry will be there to bring you all the updates.

Marc Márquez finaliza 3º en el Gran Premio de Catalunya en una carrera muy ajustada competitivamente y marcada por el choque que el piloto tuvo con Pol Espargaró a falta de dos vueltas y media para concluir. Después de que Marc perdiera el control de la moto, un adelantamiento de Pol Espargaró provocó que las ruedas de ambas motos chocaran y que Pol desafortunadamente cayera, sin lamentar más daños que un esguince.

La polémica estaba servida. El equipo Pons 40 HP Tuenti, denunció frente la dirección de carrera que Marc irregularidades en la caída. Ambos pilotos fueron citados durante la primera hora de la tarde para declarar frente dicha institución su versión de los hechos. La deliberación concluyó con una sanción de 60 segundos para el piloto de Cervera. El equipo Cx – Repsol, interpeló dicha sanción frente la Federación Internacional de Motociclismo quien finalmente a última hora de la tarde decidió retirarla.

“Le pido disculpas por la caída” declaraba Marc Márquez en rueda de prensa ayer por la tarde. El piloto añadía también que no entendería que le sancionaran porqué en ningún momento había visto su rival y que el choque había sido fortuito, y no expresamente como se venía insinuando desde la parte opuesta.

A falta de 12 carreras, la siguiente en Silverston, el piloto se situa 2º en el Mundial con tan sólo 2 puntos de Thomas Lüthi quien va liderando el mundial.

More than 200 fans joined us at the club to celebrate the April 12th opening, partying until the early hours! We had the Superdry garage photocall where we were taking photos of all our guest and even had a giveaway of some of the latest Superdry SS12 pieces!

Superdry Store Zaragoza abrió sus puertas el pasado 12 de abril, convirtiéndose en la 2ª tienda que abre Superdry Spain este año y la quinta de todo el país. La tienda de más de 120m2 está situada en pleno centro de la ciudad, en el Paseo Constitución nº16.
Para celebrar su apertura, el viernes 11 de mayo se celebró una fiesta exclusiva en uno de los clubs más emblemáticos de la ciudad en la Sala Fox Zaragoza. Más de 200 personas acudieron al recinto para conocer la marca y divertirse con el Superdry garaje photocall donde pudieron hacerse fotos originales con las Oil can. Además los que se quedaron hasta las 2:30 de la madrugada pudieron participar en un sorteo exclusivo de prendas de la marca.

Rain at Spain’s Jerez circuit brought this leg of the Moto2 Grand Prix to a premature end, but that didn’t stop superdry-sponsored rider Marc Márquez from getting onto the podium!

Márquez continues to lead the overall standings, with one win and one second place to his name! Keep up the good work, Marc!

If you’re an avid reader of the Superdry blog, you may have spotted Moto GP superstar and friend of Superdry, Marc Marquez’s name pop up a few times. It’s been almost 5 months since we last caught up with him, so we thought now’s a good a time as ever to bring you the updates!

It’s great news all round – Marc recently won the Qatar Moto GP Grand Prix for his class and, as a result, has been added to Superdry Europe’s roster of officially sponsored sports personalities!

Marc is now flying the Superdry flag on every corner of every racetrack and we’ll be bringing you more updates in the coming weeks. Make sure you keep an eye out on our Facebook pages for a special something, too!

We can’t believe it’s already been six months since we held our very first pádel tournament, but we’ve been back out on the courts again at Fibra’s Club, Cabrera de Mar in Barcelona for our second Pádel tournament!

This time, more than 80 couples have been going head to head, fighting for their place on Saturday’s final! Superdry fan and FC Barcelona defender Sergi Barjuan tried his hand at the fast-paced sport of pádel, playing in the first category with his on-court partner!

Saturday came and the professionals took to the court; Ruben Rivera, Carlos Obradors, David Esteban and Pedro Alonso showed off their amazing skills and had the crowd cheering whilst DJ David Josa provided the music – a blend of funky house and dance music.

As the dust settled on the pádel courts, everyone headed over to the award ceremony held at Barcelona’s Ambient Mataró where all players and fans had time to relax and enjoy the drinks and nibbles we had provided. Taking to the podium, the winners received their trophies and Superdry vouchers!

We can’t wait until the next tournament!

Superdry Spain ha concluido su II Torneo de Pádel Superdry, celebrado  en el Club Fibra, Cabrera de Mar (Barcelona). En esta ocasión más de 80 parejas masculinas y femeninas han estado toda una semana disputado varios partidos hasta que el sábado se jugaron las finales. Cómo no, entre todos los jugadores pudimos contar con la participación de nuestro amigo del FCBarcelona Sergi Barjuan, quien jugó en primera categoría con un compañero de la zona.
El sábado durante las finales, tuvimos la oportunidad de ver cuatro jugadores profesionales: Ruben Rivera, Carlos Obradors, David Esteban y Pedro Alonso jugar un set demostración de Pádel. Ya por la tarde entre final y final el dj David Josa animó a todos los asistentes con un poco de música house – dance.

La entrega de premios se celebró en Ambient Mataró, quienes invitaron a todos los participantes a un cátering pica pica y a una copa de cava. Durante la celebración se entregaron los trofeos y los vouchers Superdry a todos los ganadores, además de realizar un sorteo entre todos los asistentes compuesto por varios regalos de todas las marcas patrocinadoras así como piezas Superdry.
