Last week, the Superdry team headed out to sunny Coachella festival (via Palm Springs) to host model Poppy Delevingne’s VIP pre-wedding bash. The first few days were spent prepping a beautiful estate & house with plenty of Superdry goodies including jelly whopper shoppers, denim hot pants, towels, flip flops & beach balls – all in fun, fresh colours to keep the party fun & girly!

Saturday was the big day, & the piece-de-resistance arrived- an oversized rustic Superdry sign, which was situated against an epic mountainous backdrop. It was in front of this sign that we set up arrangements of fresh flowers- including incredibly rare poppies for their namesake- & a beautiful bespoke brunch spread created by cool New York restaurant, the Wayfarer.

The guests enjoyed tunes spun to a palm tree backdrop by Poppy’s friend, DJ Jamo -who kept the tunes strictly old school! An iconic Union Jack flag, distressed in Superdry colours, shrouded the DJ booth & made sure everyone knew the Brits had arrived!

The pool area was a favourite hangout with a hint of fun added in the form of Superdry beach balls & towels in orange and hot pink; creating a perfect chill-out paradise.

During in the evenings, guests headed to the festival to enjoy the arts, music and fashion on offer…Superdry faves (recently seen at Snowbombing) including Rudimental & Nina Kraviz also made an appearance!

The Superdry team were representing en-masse wearing festival-ready items hot from the new Spring/Summer Collection; favourites included the escape tie dye crew, shockwave sunglasses & denim hot pants.

Superdry at Coachella-…the perfect kick-off to a summer of #superdryfestivalstyle

We’re packing our bags for one of the biggest parties of the year in the Californian desert. That’s right, we’re off to Coachella! Famous for its celebrity style, A-list hang-outs and the latest, greatest bands & DJs in the world, this is one festival you don’t want to miss.

If dressing for summer’s hottest parties leaves you cold, our SS14 collection is an access-all-areas pass to standout festival style. Denim is a festival staple, from hotpants to double denim combos; luckily the Superdry Denim collection is bigger and better than ever. Boys shorts get colourful or stay classic in our commodity chino shorts range, which look great teamed with a hoodie or our classic flag jacket. Party-loving girls should rock carefree boho style with our raw edge hotpants & easy summer dresses. Add some tailoring to redefine casual cool; check out our Timothy Everest collection for inspiration.

Use accessories to punch up your look: our alumni bag comes in a kaleidoscope of shades (perfect for carrying your Superdry beach towel, passport holder, hat & wallet!). Get a pop of colour with one of our great watches &, remember, late night parties and sun-soaked days mean sunglasses should be at the top of your packing list. Footwear gets practical: choose from trainers, chic sandals for girls and flip flops to team with every outfit.

We recently caught up with Paul Matthews, the winner of our competition to join us at our Autumn/Winter ’14 preview at London Collections: Men.

All Paul had to do was post us a picture showing why he loves Superdry. This is Paul’s winning image – safe to say, he’s a super fan.

Here’s what he had to say about his experience of The Event:

“What can i say? Best party I’ve ever been too! All this for having an obsession with a clothing brand! What Superdry has to offer in A/W14 is incredible –  bold colours and fitted cable knits, you certainly won’t go cold this winter.

“My wife, a lifelong sufferer of my obsession with Superdry, came along with me for the night. We arrived at the Old Sorting Office to be met by a friendly face, who took us up to what i can only describe as walking up the Shard..so many stairs! At the top floor we were greeted with cocktails and a vast bar area that wouldn’t have looked out of place in any Superdry store. As we waited for the event to start, wondering where it would be, we were taken aback by the amount of people here for The Event and the fantastic food being served on illuminated trays. The music, very much like being in-store, kept everyone in anticipation. Then large white doors opened and we were allowed into the hidden catwalk area.

“Once in, sitting in the front row, the show started! Coats, jeans, scarves, hats…as models walked past us, I just kept thinking, ‘I need everything in my wardrobe as soon as this collection is released later this year!’

“I was completely unaware of who i was sitting next to, until my wife pointed them out. Oliver Proudlock from Made in Chelsea, actor Ralph Little and Samuel L Jackson amongst others, we felt a little out of place!

‘The event finished with a rousing round of applause, and then the party started. First with Nick Grimshaw taking to the decks,  followed by Benji Boko – his set list was incredible! As incredible as the food that was going around again – chips, chicken, burgers and more. It was as if they knew that i was going to be there and that i have a very limited selection of favourite foods. Also, with a free bar flowing, i can easily say that that was the best party I’ve been to.

“I can see that, once again, we will see a lot of people walking the streets in Superdry’s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, especially in the women’s range. As i mentioned before, my wife has never looked at a Superdry coat and instantly wanted to buy it – that night she saw four that she will be snapping up when they become available!

“All in all, thank you very much to Superdry for choosing my collection picture as your winner, and for putting on such a great evening for us!”

Thanks Paul, glad you had a great time. Don’t forget to check out the pics on Facebook and Instagram #SuperdryLCM

2013 is a landmark year in our calendar as we celebrate Superdry’s ten-year anniversary. In true Superdry fashion we decked out London’s famous landmark Battersea Power Station. Steeped in British history this incredible building provided the perfect backdrop to create an event never to be forgotten. Born from an inspirational trip to Tokyo back in 2003 the brand started from a collection of 5 high-impact graphic tees and in the past 10 years we have grown considerably with collections of up to 2,500 pieces.

The event was held in the awe-inspiring grade 2 listed building, where we treated special guests to an exclusive SS14 catwalk while cool up and coming Brit duo Coves performed a rocking soundtrack. Later the DJ spinned an eclectic mix of tunes which really got the party started. While guests sipped on tasty cocktails including Dark ‘n’ stormy, Apricot Mai Tai and Victorian Tea, alongside champagne and beer. Peckish party-goers were served a selection of festival-style nibbles with a choice of Motherclucker, Engine Hot Dogs and When Mac met Cheese.

Check out more pics from the event on our  Facebook page and read what guests had to say on Twitter by following the hashtag #Superdry10.

Superdry. Trinity Leeds. The Live Series.

On Saturday 27th April we well and truly brought the noise to Trinity Leeds Shopping centre as Jacob Banks, Bashy, Amplify Dot, Kay-C and the Dilation DJ’s, took to the stage in our first ever #LiveSeries event.

Getting the crowd hyped pre-event was resident beatboxer, Contrix; and our breakdancer/bodypopper combo of Kieran Lai (of All Stars movie fame) and Issie, who were off the chain!

First to take the mic was Kay-C and what a way to kick things off!

Next up was South London’s finest, Amplify Dot, who dropped her trademark flow and witty lyrics. When she dropped her brand new track, Kurt Cobain, the crowd went wild.

Just as well really as the next act well and truly blew the roof off! His friends know him as ashley thomas, you may know him as the Mixtape Legend, but we know him as the award-winning BASHY!

Spittin’ bars left right and centre, the crowd were up on their feet, in your face, and getting down.

Taking things down a level (which was much needed after Bashy’s high-octane set) was an intimate performance from midlands-born Jacob Banks, who was the headline act of the first ever #LiveSeries
