Belgium. Sports d’Hiver. Bloggers

Last month, Superdry invited five fashion-loving Belgian bloggers to put together their perfect winter sports holiday look, with Superdry’s winter finest, at the Louise store, Belgium! Dorothy, Lucy, Florence, Sophie and Laura got creative and put their own touches to some outfits, ideal for skiing and après-ski events.

Capturing these looks is young photographer Nicolas Lefebure whose photographs of the outfits can be found on the Sports d’Hiver website, open for your votes to pick the winning look!

Superdry. City Ski. Brussels.

It’s time to put on your Superdry knits, as we prepare to hit the slopes with Brussels City ski.

From 10 December right through until Christmas, we’re partnering with City Ski to hold an amazing winter sport event! Bringing a huge 150m, environmentally friendly and organic ‘real snow’ ski slope right to the heart of Brussels’ Monts Des Arts, it’s definitely an event that you won’t want to miss.

After your time en piste you’ll have the opportunity to take time out and relax with a mulled wine and a raclette, and can even get an exclusive Superdry password to redeem in store! The first 50 lucky customers to arrive at our store in the Grand Plaza with the password will get a free 20-minute ski session with equipment rental courtesy of Superdry! We’ll also be giving out gift vouchers during the ski and snowboarding competitions to spend in store, so keep an eye out!

Vintage Car Rally. Brussels.

September 30th, 2011

The Superdry-sponsored vintage car rally got underway in Lasne earlier this month, where more than 40 vintage motorcars crossed the beautiful Brussels countryside. 102 participants swapped the hustle and bustle of the city for a weekend of sun, scenery, great food and a first prize of Superdry goodies! Everyone arrived in the destination of Petit-Leez safe and sound, but special congratulations go out to the winning team. Not only did they win the Superdry first prize, they arrived in style in a stunning vintage Jaguar E-Type!

Superdry presents Knokke Out Live!

August 8th, 2011


Sunday 14th August is a date for the diary! The ’15Zoute’ weekend, taking place in Knokke-Heist is where we at Superdry will be hosting the Knokke Out Live event!

An exclusive night of drinks and dinner joined by the talents who are ‘Amber and the Dude’ lending their live musical talent and brilliant vocals while guests enjoy their food. Of course it is not a Superdry party without any dancing, so we have the brilliant DJ Junior Jack and DJ Mac Monroe on the line-up.

Some great surprises will be revealed during the evening but we can’t keep quiet about the two Superdry Limited Edition Fixie bikes we have to give-away! If you are unfamiliar with Fixies, they are bicycles with a fixed gear and no brakes – that’s right, no brakes, stopping the bikes requires back peddling! We have them displayed at our Knokke store where you can see them up-close! Popular with couriers in New York for many years, the bikes are now invading the trend capitals around the world!

Superdry Pit Stop. Avenue Louise

To celebrate the Summer Louise night in Brussels and the recent refurbishment of our Avenue Louise store, we held an exclusive night on the 23rd June with the addition of a ‘Superdry Pit Stop’. This special occasion was invite only to join us enjoy the night with nibbles and drinks from our ‘Pit Stop’ van which we parked outside our store. It was an absolute pleasure to be apart of the popular Louise event where the whole street takes part in being inventive and dreaming up of a fun night for the exclusive night! Thanks to all to who came!

Jeudi dernier, le 23 juin, avait lieu la Louise Summer Night. Notre Superdry Store de l’avenue Louise a presque eu droit à un embouteillage entre le rez-de-chaussée et le 1er étage, ouvert récemment, tant vous étiez nombreux à avoir répondu présent à l’invitation! Tout le monde a pu profiter du service de petite restauration façon “Superdry” et pour beaucoup d’entre vous, faire le plein des derniers accessoires de l’été ou petits tops à glisser dans ses valises! Merci à vous tous d’être venus et rendez-vous en septembre qui sera un mois plein de surprises! Et en attendant, profitez des photos souvenirs et partagez les avec vos proches !

Afgelopen donderdag 23 juni werd de Louise Summer Night georganiseerd. En ’t was druk in onze Superdry Store op de Louizalaan – je moest er haast filerijden tussen de benedenverdieping en de nieuwe eerste verdieping! Iedereen die over een uitnodiging beschikte – en dat waren er heel wat – kreeg immers hapjes ‘à la Superdry’ voorgeschoteld en mocht naar hartenlust shoppen. Geen wonder dat je soms moest aanschuiven tussen de zomerse accessoires en de strandtopjes! Bedankt voor jullie aanwezigheid en tot in september, want dan wachten er opnieuw enkele leuke verrassingen! Ondertussen kunt u genieten van de foto’s ter herinnering en deze delen met uw vrienden.

Be Californian. Out of Bounds.

The second edition of the golfing night “Out of Bounds” in Belgium took on a fresh and fun theme of “Be Californian” held at the exclusive bar and restaurant “Les Jeux d’hiver”. This eventful night was organised by the golfing team “Messieurs 1”, (who can be seen sporting the Californian look with the latest Superdry beach wear) from the famous Belgian Golf Club Sept Fontaines! Special bespoke Superdry golf bags were provided for a night filled with golfing games which included a putting contest! The lucky triple hole in one winner was rewarded with a Superdry gift voucher to redeem in store, ending the night of fun and frivolity with a bang!

C’était la « soirée à ne pas rater » de ce début février. Et Superdry y était.  La deuxième « out of bounds » night sur le thème « be californian » a réuni golfeurs et non golfeurs aux Jeux d’Hiver. Une nuit vraiment pas ordinaire organisée par l’équipe Messieurs 1 du Golf Club de Sept Fontaines. Au programme : cocktail, walking dinner et concours de putting où un triple «  hole in one » se voyait récompensé par un cadeau Superdry à puiser dans la collection printemps/été 2011 de la marque. Ambiance décontractée et festive d’une soirée très ludique !

Dit was echt de “niet te missen avond” van begin februari 2011. En natuurlijk was Superdry erbij! Het was de tweede ‘out of bounds night’ met als thema  «be californian », die zowel golfers als niet-golfers naar de Jeux d’Hiver bracht. Het was een uniek event georganiseerd door het Mannenteam 1 van de Golf Club de Sept Fontaines. Op het programma : cocktails, dinner en een puttingwedstrijd waarbij elke drievoudige « hole in one » werd beloond met een schitterend geschenk van Superdry, te selecteren uit de “lente/zomer 2011” collectie. Er was een heerlijk ontspannen sfeer op deze feestelijke avond.

Aurélien Dolhet. Wakeboarding. Belgium.

Belgian Wakeboarder Aurélien Dolhet started training in the sport of Wakeboarding at the age the age of 10 (a sport that was developed in the late 80′s combining water skiing and snowboarding). He later trained in the U.S. and became Belgian Junior Champion in 2001. Aurélien continues to win at national and international events and now sponsored by Superdry there is no stopping him! Combinaison des techniques de ski nautique, de snowboard et de surf, le wakeboard est né au début des années ’80. Quasi en même temps qu’ Aurélien Dolhet ! Dès l’âge de 10 ans, Aurélien ne quittait plus sa planche. Entrainement aux Etats-Unis, champion de Belgique junior en 2001, il n’arrête pas d’écumer les podiums des compétitions nationales et internationales. Et depuis peu, Aurélien a un autre signe distinctif : quand il n’est pas dans l’eau, il s’habille en Superdry ! La marque est en effet devenue un de ses principaux sponsors. Ce qu’on aime chez lui : sa vitalité, son sens du spectacle et le côté sans frontières du wakebooard !

Begin jaren ’80 zag een nieuwe topsport het daglicht : wakeboarden, een coole combinatie van waterskiën, snowboarden en surfen. In dezelfde periode zag ook een nieuwe topsporter het daglicht : Aurélien Dolhet! Hij staat al op z’n wakeboard vanaf z’n tiende, volgde training in de Verenigde Staten en werd Belgisch kampioen bij de junioren in 2001. Sindsdien verovert hij regelmatig nationale – maar ook internationale – podiumplaatsen. En sinds kort is Aurélien ook makkelijk te herkennen als hij niet in het water zit – hij loopt rond in Superdry! Het merk is immers onlangs één van z’n hoofdsponsors geworden. Waarom? Omdat hij blaakt van vitaliteit, een echt showbeest is en geen grenzen kent op z’n wakeboard!

Kirsten Flipkens. Superdry store. Antwerp

Belgians top female tennis player, Kirsten Flipkens who was junior world champion in 2003 made a visit to our Superdry store in Antwerp! Ready to kick off her Spring/Summer wardrobe with Superdry style, Kirsten was drawn particularly to our bright coloured knits and hoodies. She looked great teaming a classic hood with the Angelina leather jacket! We look forward to the semi finals game between Belgium V Czech Republic in the Spiroudôme of Charleroi!

Notre numéro 3 nationale, championne du monde Junior en 2003, est devenue depuis peu la tenniswoman number one de Superdry. Et c’est au Superdry Store d’Anvers, ouvert depuis décembre, qu’elle a entamé sa saison Printemps/été 2011. Décontractée, souriante et ouverte à tous, elle a prouvé que son esprit d’équipe, déjà légendaire en Fed Cup, était une réalité sur tous les terrains. A suivre pour la demi-finale Belgique –Tchéquie les 16 et 17 avril au Spiroudôme de Charleroi !

De Belgische nummer 3, wereldkampioen bij de junioren in 2003, is sinds kort de number one tennisvrouw van Superdry geworden. En het is in de Superdry Store in Antwerpen, die de deuren opende in december, dat zij aan het lente-zomer seizoen 2011 begon. Ze was ontspannen, lachte, maakte een praatje met iedereen en beweest nog maar eens dat haar team spirit, die we al kenden van de Fed Cup, op alle terreinen toepasbaar is. Wij kijken alvast uit naar de halve finale België- Tsjechië in het Spiroudôme van Charleroi.
